The unfinished letter of a Mother…

Late one evening, Meera was cleaning out her mother’s old wooden chest when she found a half-written letter. The ink had faded, and the paper had yellowed with time. It was addressed to her — but never sent.

With trembling hands, she began to read.

“My dearest Meera,

Life moves fast, and sometimes we forget what truly matters. I wanted to tell you something important, something I wish I had known when I was younger…”

But the letter ended there. No signature. No final words. Just silence.

Meera’s heart ached. What was her mother trying to tell her? What wisdom had been left unsaid?

For days, the unfinished letter haunted her. Until one morning, while watching the sunrise, she realized — perhaps the message wasn’t missing. Perhaps, it was an invitation.

An invitation to fill in the blanks, to write her own wisdom, to discover what truly mattered in her own journey.

She picked up a pen and continued where her mother had left off:

“I will not wait to express love. I will not let pride keep me from saying sorry. I will not postpone my dreams for ‘someday.’ I will live fully, love deeply, and speak my heart — while I still can.”
